Jim has more than 30 years of operating and capital markets experience. He has coordinated numerous capital markets transactions involving acquisitions, divestitures, Foreign Exchange (FX), equities and interest rate futures/options. His deal experience spans across numerous middle market transactions involving diverse industries and geographies.
Jim’s career began at Reliance Electric Company, a then $1.2 billion manufacturer of electrical equipment and telecommunications devices. There he became a member of the management investor team that acquired the company from Exxon, during which time he focused on post-acquisition restructuring, including the sale of Toledo Scale. The latter part of his tenure at Reliance involved the development and implementation of a leveraged buyout exit strategy that culminated in an initial public offering (IPO) in 1992. Following the IPO, Jim joined a Cleveland-based boutique as an investment banker, where he specialized in M&A. He subsequently joined the investment banking group at a large regional commercial bank based in the Cleveland area, where he continued to manage M&A transactions. Jim has held positions in strategic planning, accounting and international treasury.
Jim resides in Westlake, Ohio, with his wife. They have two sons.
