Jon Marshall, MAI, MRICS

Jon believes in the importance of listening and taking the time to understand a client’s business and what their priorities are on a deeper level. He enjoys advising clients through their entire life cycle of milestones.

Jon began his public accounting career at a global firm in 1996, gaining experience across a variety of areas. He specializes in valuation issues in financial reporting (ASC 820, 805, 350, 360, 842, IFRS 3, 16) and tax (federal and property), as well as litigation support services. Jon’s valuation experience primarily lies in commercial real estate, including office buildings (CBD trophy, suburban low-rise and corporate headquarters), retail (regional malls and neighborhood shopping centers), hotel (luxury and limited service), industrial (warehouse and manufacturing), multifamily (high-rise urban and low-rise suburban), timberland, healthcare, senior living and residential (condominiums and subdivisions).

Jon, his wife, their two adventurous children and rescue dog reside in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. He is a dedicated Cubs and Bears fan, enjoys attending his son’s baseball games and his daughter’s ballet recitals. Jon also loves the summer in Chicago, including going to parks and local street festivals with family and friends.
