Director, Inclusion & Equity Trinette Simon has been named as a finalist for the 2025 ATHENA Award, sponsored by the Regional Chamber and The Vindicator/vindy.com. The final award presentation, slated for May 15 during the annual award dinner, will be presented to a local woman who has made significant achievements in her career and community.
As the firm’s director of inclusion and equity, Trinette leads efforts to enhance the firm’s culture of inclusion and belonging via new programs and policies. A former auditor and head of the firm’s Employee Benefit Audit Group, Trinette brings a critical understanding of the business and relationships to the role.
In her community, Trinette has spent her entire career giving back to the Mahoning Valley area, including her most recent role as president of the board of directors for Intentional Development Group, an organization that connects government agencies, small businesses and nonprofits to advance economic development in the Mahoning Valley. Trinette has also served as treasurer for nine years on the Inspiring Minds Board of Directors, dedicating herself to the organization, which provides support for students in their education, college and career readiness, health and wellness, and personal development. Previously, she has served on various boards and committees, such as St. Elizabeth Hospital (Finance Committee), Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, The American Red Cross Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley Chapter, Lifeskills Center of Youngstown and Youngstown State University (Accounting Advisory Committee).
